After all this I disagree with this car being a neo AE86. The Corolla although it is loved now was a throw away car back then. It was the kind of car that over achieved even though it had pizza car status.
This car is more of a Celica to me. Its a bit too pretty, and not cheap enough. Don't get me wrong I think the car is great. I just think Toyota is wrong in trying to paint this car as a new 86. They should really big it up as a neo Celica. I'm sure they don't because the Celica is not Initial D cool.

You sir I believe hit the nail right on the head! The celica just isn't as cool as the AE86.
That trd model looks sexy as hell.... I will have to drive one to be sure but this seems like my favorite reasonably priced car to come out in a long long time. I almost bought a Genesis coupe 2.0t R-spec or whatever the turbo model is called with the bigger brakes and less accessories about 2 years ago now but the thing that held me back was the weight. This is looking like the first car I would buy new since well..... Ever! I wasn't old enough to drive when the cars that I like were brand new. I have to drive one to be sure but man I am excited. This and a beater se-r for the winter would make me so very happy.... All for a reasonable price

I feel the same, exact way. I fell in love with the 2.0 R-Spec Genesis but it was too heavy to be of real fun.
TRD Supercharged Scion FR-S, yummm
P.S. The car handles like a dream on Gran Turismo 5!!!!!
I am ready to buy mine ( MINES ). I will wait for the Subaru version.
OK Subaru, I know you want me $30,000. Sooooooo...........
BRZ STI version in Blue, White or Silver
2L Turbo 275 HP motor or more
18" STI wheels
Brembo brakes
What Will Miko Do To His Car. Well The Goal Is 350 WHP
1) 3.5in turbo back exhaust
2) Large front mount Spearco Intercooler
3) Turn the boost up 7 PSI.
4) New rims and tires, 225s out front and 225 to 275s out back ( Bloomin Onion with that )
If they figure out larger injs soon for this car then bigger injs, larger turbo and ECU reflash for 450 WHP.
Lets do this people.
