The new 2011 Mazda 2 weighs 2,350 lbs. (manual transmission).

Automakers still have the ability to make light cars which is promising. It might be a fun car based on the descriptions. No giant killer or anything but a smidgen of sanity in an otherwise insane world I figure.

The 1.5l is a little disappointing, but overall it looks pretty nice. Especially since it is a lightweight car, it seems those are nearly impossible to come by anymore!

When I first saw that car I thought rebadged Fiesta

sounds like mazda just remade the crx. id rock one of those, but then id boost it.

That's what it is, and apparently the Ford is a bit cheaper so people are wondering why they'd by the 2.

Still can't stand that damn Joker grin for a grill. Nice car though, boost would be the ticket in something like this.

I love Mazda's but the Ford is nicer and gets better gas mileage.

I've been looking at these. Kinda surprised that it wasn't a 1.6 like it's Ford competitior. I just wish they would give us Americans the real deal that we never get.
