Fast forward to completing the VQ35 swap, and BALLS. A completely different car. It felt like the VQ35 belonged with that car from the start and it never got it.

That's my opinion.

Heh, I guess you and I became fans of Nissan for completely different reasons... Me? Handling, reliablility and refinement with decent power. a stock 95-99 Maxima with 190 hp and 205 ft lbs of torque got up pretty well on the highway... Of course when I traded it in on my 2003 6MT it wasn't as quick, but I definately missed the Lexus-like engine revs and smoothness.. Coupled with better handling than any Lexus at the time... Fast FWD to 2010 and the 98 Maxima is a pig in the corners with the rear beam suspension...

Hell, what Nissan came from the factory to meet your PERFORMANCE needs with BALLS and HIGHLY impressive explosive acceleration?? GTR is about it...

Modified car that's has a lot less horsepower though. But yes on a curvy track the suspension would beat it. But on a straight line track different story

I fell in love with what USED to be Nissan. Not today's crap line. Again, just my opinion.

^ i think the 370z and the gtr still hold true to what nissan stood and stands for.

the rest of the line up is rubbish, performance wise. still great reliable well made cars at the end of the day.

stratton.

I think you can add the 3.5L Altima to that list. It is very "Nissan performance" from what I could tell driving one. Just looks like poop... =/
