I saw this one for sale locally in my town. I took a bunch of pictures and noted the VIN and was going to give all the info to Jon for the non-M buyer's guide but a call to the owner revealed he was taking it off the market so Jon didn't need the info. Here are a few of the pics...

I piled up too many leaves on a tarp last year (that's how far behind I am posting updates), so the Beetle got to play tow vehicle. Those are some old RJ11 telephone cords I found laying around that I used for rope.

I would have parked 2" from his drivers door just to be a dick.

Oh, the picture is misleading. There is a huge support column you can see on the left of the image. That takes up an entire parking spot (and to our right is a wall, we backed in). So the VW driver was actually giving the others on his passenger side more room. There is no way to park between us because of this column.

I was at my local track (Carolina Motorsports Park) to hang with @bhowle while he shook down on his G20. The local Mini club was out as well. I took a few pictures.

The Beetle needed a new headlight, and when replacing it I found the wiring in bad shape. I guess heat from the bulb and German sheathing don't mix.
I de-pinned the plug and got to work with some heat shrink.

Columbia is not a car town by any stretch of the imagination, so when something even remotely cool comes along it catches my eye.
We actually have our fair share of R35s around, but I hadn't seen one in a while. I also think this is a 2012 model?
