HOW: Most OBD II: Remove the Rear O2 Sensor
How to Remove the Rear O2 Sensor and CEL
Note this should work for most OBDII cars. This mod was done on a 1999 Nissan Sentra, 98 200sx's should have a very similar process. As for earlier yeared cars, you will have to test and see for yourself

This is for off-road use only. Do this at your own risk!
Parts Needed
All parts numbers below are Radio Shack Part #'s.
Just the Sensor Delete (Not the Whole O2 Sensor)
- Knife
- Soldering Iron
- Electrical Tape or Heat Shrink
- 1x 1µF (micro-farad) Capacitor (I used Part # 272-1434) - Picture
- 1x 1-Megohm Resistor 1/4 Watt - 5% tolerance (I used Part # 271-1356) - Picture
Steps - Just the Sensor Delete
You would have to use this method if you have a fully working heater part of the O2 Sensor. The O2 Sensor will still need to be connected
1. Remove the O2 Sensor from the CAT and unplug it from the harness
This should be the diagram for this installation, Note Blue wire is equal to Black, and white is equal to Gray.
You can do it two ways, you can solder the resistors inline with the sensor, or you can just seperate the signal and ground wires. I will show pictures of the latter method
4. Solder the 1µF (micro-farad) Capacitor from the Black wire to the Gray wire
5. Solder a 1-Megohm Resistor right after the Capacitor, from Black Signal wire and Gray Ground wire.
6. shield everything off and your all set
7. Connect it and screw it into your CAT or hide it elsewhere.
Steps - Complete O2 Sensor Removal
I tried to do the complete sensor removal, but the heater wires cause a problem
Here is what happened:
