If you are getting 9mv, try using a larger diameter wire (I used 14gauge) and grounding it on the other intake mani (IM) grounding screw. Make sure your IM connections are clean. Use a copper/gold ring connector at the IM end and solder the other end to your MAF wire. Retest when connections are completed and before the final tape up.
To validate the operating condition of your MAF, do the following:
- Peel back the rubber on the connector. Leave MAS plugged in.
- Turn Ignition switch "ON"
- Start engine and warm to operating temp.
- Check voltage between terminal A (right-most wire) and ground (intake mani).
. . . Plug Position = { * * * X }
. = Ignition switch on (with Engine stopped) - Less the 1.0V
. = Idling Warm Engine - 1.3 - 1.8V
If NG, Check the hot film strip for damage or dust. Try cleaning it with CRC Mass Sensor Cleaner
(follow the directions listed on the can IN DETAIL ! ! Dont just spray it on the film as you will probably cause unrecoverable damage).
