Thread: hOw to: locate your starter bolts for removal replacement

AGHHH! I can't take this damn bracket off!

Is the bracket the one that holds the solenoid into place?

Older thread but Im currently doing this now to a part out B14 and I'm "vice-gripping" that bracket and bending it outta there. its seriously a pain

I cut mine out in sections sections. I've got the burn scars to prove it.

This is really sad, I just removed the alternator, oil pump and a buncha other stuff, but I STILL CANT FIND THE STARTER. wth, it's like camouflaged in there

Yes it is. That entire "H" brace back there hides it completely. I still can't understand what was the intended purpose of that brace.

I can only think - was it so "thieves" wouldn't be able locate it if trying to steal the car?
