Well put together!!
The Mobil oil filter also shares the OEM "oil trapping" design (did I spy one in one of the pics?). I buy them b/c they're more convenient for me to get ahold of. Seems like a good filter.
Its funny the aftermarket filter manufacturers are just recently getting it together and mimicking a 15 year (or more??) old design. Nissan really is one of the few cars that OEM always seems to work better.
ATF in your engine? REALLY?? YIKES!

Thanks.. Yes the gloves are a nice touch especially when its 15deg F out I actually had to microwave the oil before I poured it into the car to warm it up a little hehe.
I usually use Mobile filters or oem when I do my maintenance. More so Mobile because they are more convenient to get (the dealer is seldom open on a Sunday )
Anyway this day in age aftermarket oil filters have the anti-drain back valve in them. It's just a matter of the placement of them and the material they are made out of.
This is a pretty good read if you want to check out different filter construction: http://minimopar.knizefamily.net/oilfilterstudy.html
It was done by a Mopar guy but the analysis outcome should apply for all filter applications.
