Thread: 93 G20 Charcoal canister vacuum hose diagram?

need to know where the one from the firewall goes onto in which order also where the other two go...

if you havent ever touch or removed that on your car an its still all connected please lt me know.. trying to see if i can pressurize the tank. i eat gas. i think its due to ONE of the hose not being connected at all an the vacuum just being there open..

"vent" line/vapor line comes from gas tank to canister

canister should have a line directly to the intake mainfold (after the TB)
and I dont know where the other one goes, probably to another valve

idk if this has something to do with your gas milage, i ditched my completely and vented the hose and i get 30mpg

yea i would have done that when i was in highschool but i need to pressurize the tank

connected the other two nipples on the canister to vacuum an it did pressurize the tank..
noticeble change in mpg.

question? my canister is long gone. should the metal tube that was connected to the canister from the tank be connected to vacuum? mine is just open, i figure when the canister is there it's connected to vacuum so shouldn't be now too.

That line needs to vent to atmosphere if you've removed the charcoal canister. It's best to put a one-way check valve on it (only allow gasoline vapors to escape yet still allow the fuel tank to maintain a vacuum and prevent anything from going the wrong way down the tube). It's entirely possible that line already has a one-way check valve on it by the tank though, so I'm not 100% sure it's even necessary.
