Thread: Just Finished Stuffing My P11 with 9" Wide Wheels

Went from 225/45/17 17x7.5 ET40 to 235/45/17 17x9 ET17. Required major fender rolling and pulling, so not an easy drop in option.





Old tires are Cooper RS3-S (on the left), new tires Yakohoma AD08r (right). Even though new tires are only 10mm wider in the section width, AD08's tend to run wider tread width then most tires so in reality these tires are 20mm wider.



225/45/17 on 7.5" with 40mm offset is about the max you can run without hitting the suspension components.


Going with 17mm offset gave enough clearance for 9" wide wheels and might actually fit 255's.


Plus new wheels/tires are no longer rubbing against the body/transmission.

NICE Vadim! You got a lot of patience to pull/roll the fender to fit them. when i got 235 and dropped the car back to the ground and was so frustrated i just got the grinder out and put on the flares.

I hope you dont get the grip bug like I did and get even bigger tires lol. My next TA event is so far away Aug 19th and the one before was cancelled

I think I'm gonna have to resort to fender flares unfortunately, the front fenders buckled a little too much from the extreme pulling.

We'll see how these tires handle, on the street I sadly didn't know THAT big of a difference (not as big as going from stock UCA's to Cusco's). But track times will tell the real story.

Thanks! I really like how aggressive the car looks with this combo, the car is finally being recognized as a modified car instead "oh some college kid is driving it from point a to point b". Today at the racetrack, had a few people come over and ask me what on earth the car was (when they wouldn't recognize the G20 name, I would say a Sentra with leather seats ).

Anyway, the rear needs to be pulled way more, with some luggage I'm rubbing on bigger bumps and highway bridges. These tires/wheels held excellent on the track though, one of the instructors was impressed with how grippy they were.

Also I now need to get fender flares, since I pulled the front and rear more I got a lot more buckling now. Oh well that was expected.

But the p11 feels so natural to be in and drive. Large enough for kids and luggage when needed but still a drivers car once built correctly. I still haven't put on my Fortune Coils or any of my boost work yet. The Gtir motor is doing well for stock form in this heavy beast. I'm running 225/40/18 currently with very minimal fender massaging...
