Blew Up '94 P10
Was headed out to dinner last night and the engine let go. Found a wrist pin on the road where it let go. I have not had a chance to tear into the engine yet but I am pretty sure it's trash.

Now I have a question. I have another engine from a '91 P10. How much trouble is it to modify the engine harness and put the tall port '91 engine in my '94 P10? Also thinking a good set of cams, a header, and exhaust. Any recommendations?

Actually that swap is rather straight forward. I have not had a high port engine in about 5 years, but I do not think any wiring will be necessary as long as you use the 94 harness.

As far as the header goes, I have tuned a few cars with these Tri-Y headers. They always show gains over the standard ebay header. Just beware, they do hang very low.

These cams would do a basic bolt on car justice.

As for an exhaust, I always have local shops make up a custom one. As long as you have a good welder and use mandrel bends, it will flow well.

Also a good tune will work wonders

Thx. I'll start breaking down the '91 engine Monday morning. Probably order the cams Monday as well. This is my 1st G20. The feel of the car is amazing for a small 4 door. I'm itching to get it going.
