Dying Gas Gauge fix?
On the way to work today, my gas gauge went from reading 3/4 of a tank down to 1/2 a tank in under a mile, then feel quickly to 1/4 tank. I pulled over and didn't see any gas leaking from anywhere. The gauge then went completely dead, and rose to 1/4 tank as I pulled into the parking lot at the office. Where should I start checking for a fix for this?

Sending unit connections and gauge connections. FSM walks you through the diagnosis.

I need to get something like that. Will I be able to use a Chilton's manual as well?

Chilton's should be fine if you have it, but the FSM usually is better.

Ok, I lost my speedometer/odometer last week too. I tried going through some of the FSM diagnostic stuff, and it seemed like I needed a new gauge cluster. That was not the case, as I still don't have a fuel gauge or speedometer with the new cluster.

I'm going to get my buddy to help on Friday, but any ideas where I should start looking? Anyone need a gauge cluster with 142K miles on it?
