Thread: Common p11 rust spots?

Im going to be checking out a P11 in a little while. I dont know much about this chassis. Where are common rust spots? Anything else I should be looking for?

P11s rust faster than p10s in my experience (but probably about the same rate as a b13 from my experience)

So a lot of the same areas but here is what I would check and in this order:

1) Core support (seems to be 1st place to fall apart)
2) rear fender arch area above the wheels
3) Floor (yes I've seen plenty of flintstone floors where it was only the carpet keeping your feet from going down to the ground)
4) door jams (just like on b13s especially if equipped with a sunroof)
5) under-body frame rails, exhaust, suspension components, subframe, etc.

ALSO I've seen 3 different p11s with rust around the windshield (and windshield leaking because of it).. same goes for around the sunroof so check that as well

x2, lower tie bar aka core support are the first to go.
