Infiniti has been around since the late '80s. What mistakes have you made?

Historically, Infiniti has been "Nissan-plus" and we screwed up the Infiniti brand in the U.S. by doing cars like the G20 [a rebadged mid-'90s Primera] and basically trying to squeeze money out of higher-margin cars. That's not the behavior of a premium brand.

I think the G20 was great. Also the Q50 is not as good as the previous G37. In terms of looks maybe it's a better looking car, but as far as handling performance and fun factor it's a step back.

I thought the Q50 was the new Q45? Not a comparable car to the G-series.

I have a hard time getting very excited about any new vehicles coming from the Nissan camp, and that makes me kinda sad.

You remember that "brightest stars burn out the fastest"? Nissan did just that with there cars. The B13 SE-R in 1994 was the last time they had people who cared, that were allowed to release a car with heart and soul.

Nissan was a heavy hitter back in the day. I'd say that last of the true Nissans to be made were maybe the S15 and the R34.

Granted going hard probably contributed to them almost going bankrupt in 99.
