Thread: Decided to go full racecar with the g20, cage, etc.

So we made a decision to focus on the g20 first and b13 sentra 2nd and go ahead and get this baby caged up for 2012 Season! The goal is PTF (and can still do TTF) so we can run this at NASA Nationals 2012 in PTF and TTF instead of only TTF again.

I ran over to take some 'in progress' pics as Mike is working on cage prep here (sorry, not much to see YET)











The old movable race seat is out and this will be the new race seat (yes, the race seat alone is worth more than the bare chassis at $1200!!!)

Wow, that expensive seats? Its possible to get it in Europe for probably 1/5 of that price. Anyway, keep it up, P10/P11 are great chassis for racing!

^ yes, that Evolution containment seat is insane on cost here.

And we already have 11 TTF records plus the NASA Nationals TTF 1st place finish so we know how nice the chassis is for racing already ..it is part of what helped us decide to go this route instead of just selling the car after so many years with it.

Anyway, here is the photo evidence of the rather slow moving process of cage prep and weight reduction:

Ive seen the guys use dry ice to remove the sound deadening stuff, have you tried that? but besides that, the cars looking good!

^ we talked about the dry ice idea (not exactly easy to get though) but we'll see if we break down to find some of that later....

It is pretty warm today and yesterday here (in the high 40s) but if it gets down to 0 again, I'm guessing that would have almost the same effect of dry ice (not that I wish for cold again or anything like that --- haha)

I'm surprised you'd been tracking it this long without doing this already. Sort of gives me hope I'll be able to leave mine without a cage and still have lots of fun days.
