New tires, Road Force balance and struts and you'll have a more quiet and stable car. I have the stock springs with GR2 struts and it's great. (The original struts had 145K miles on them!) The car is smooth, quiet, and cruises at 85 all day long. Prior to those fixes this wasn't the case... at all! Trust me, every two weeks I have to take a trip that's 300 miles round trip.

That's pretty much where I am right now and don't drive 85 anyway. It's completely reasonable to think with the right struts and tires and precision balance that more comfort could be gained. All I'm saying is right now and on my car, I'm more comfortable <70.

You get behind my last BMW and 55 and 85 felt the same. Not so on my g20 for whatever reason.

What tires and struts do you recommend?

What tires do you currently have on the G20? My G20 (which is pretty heavily modded), rides silently at 60 mph. 75mph is little louder due to wind resistance, but still beats the crap out of my old Sentra.

I wouldn't say the G20 is a city car, it has ultra low drag, .30Cd, that's as low as many sports cars. It has a huge trunk, along with trunk struts so the trunk arms don't eat up any trunk space.

I'm currently running stock springs with Koni yellow struts, they are more of a sports strut. Koni Red's would be a good comfort strut though.

I don't know, my p10 felt great @ 80 plus and I have driven more euro's than you can imagine. You think the e320 was a nice highway car? I think that is a great car to ride in on the highway but as far as driving goes, blah blah, they suck. I like most bmw's but most mercedes are awful to drive. The doors do close like a vault but once you are moving, you need to look behind you to make sure no one hooked up a trailer with a boat to the back.

It will get the job done but not my first choice of cars to drive long distances.

Apparently, ride quality is not it's strong suit in p10 or p11. 1999-2002 Infiniti G20: Road Test - Consumer Guide Automotive

I'm thinking about selling this car. It's just not where I want to spend 4 hours a day.

they aren't no cadilac that's for sure. They are more at home keeping the revs up (manual) with some turns. Opposite of what it seems your looking for. You have a clean car, put it up for sale it will probably go quick. Might even want to see what car max will give you because when they get g20's they sell them for alot. I always see them for about 10k on car max which is just a stupid price but if they sell them for that they might give you half for yours. Not sure how much you paid for yours though.

Ride is not the strong point?? Here is what the link said: "Handling is agile and front-drive assured. Stable and maneuverable, a G20 is right at home on twisty roads--nearly as nimble as some costlier rear-drive sports sedans. The ride is surprisingly absorbent for a compact."

Look, I'll admit I've been in many cars that a have better ride quality... but for the $3K I paid I'm very happy with it. Not may used cars for this price can beat it.

I think these might be what you are looking for. They are all smooth, quiet, fairly torquey and cost about the same as your G.
I'm being serious. Because if you find a G20 punishing this what you need.
