I do think they are the ultimate driving machines, when they run. My deal this time is:

#1 Reliable
#2 30 mpg

The bonus on this g20 is it's clean and nice., sunroof, bose and doesn't look like a 2001 car and under $4k. It's hard to argue over which car to buy when it all adds up.

Nissan did it right back then, not so much today, these are the most reliable cars on the road at any age. The only thing even close is Honda <1999 and after 2003, and Corolla.

I really stuck to that 30 mpg as a target this time even though I wanted a v6. I looked at everything out there in Honda, Toyota and came across threads that talked about the Nissan U13. That lead me to the Nissan L30 and that lead my to the g20. Nissan really did it right in these models and I would rather have a 1999 g20 over a 2003 Altima or a 2003 Honda because the first one is likely to get me there and back.

I can tell you from personal experiences you made a good choice with the G I was a die hard Honda boy had civic's, accords and integra's they are very reliable but being in south fl there all over the place plus you gotta sleep with one eye open hoping no one comes for your car. I like the g20 because they are great on gas parts aren't expensive or difficult to find and since I've had my g20 i rarely have seen them on the road its a different feel your not like everyone else on the road and you don't have to be so cautions with them security wise (at least from what i noticed so far but could be wrong). Plus the P11 already look nice all you really have to do for them is drop it and wheels and go. Thats why i'm trying to get rid of my e36 and get a p11

Well, it's HOME! In a word, solid.

Volvo/240/740 I had in past, 5 or six, then went Benz for a few years, bmw for many years after. Never thought I'd buy anything but BMW but after so many break downs and expenses, I thought I'd look at Japanese.

Honda ain't all that if you look at what's really happening over their history. They haven't made a reliable automatic transmission since 1998 and even if they did, you would still have window regulators failing. Toyota has a massive engine sludge problem. People talk and Saab having sludge problems, but Toyota has that even worse.
I can live with crappy cup holders if my car starts every time and I don't need the ultimate driving machine if it stays parked.

You live in FTL, I live in MIA we have the same neighbors and I agree Honda is the #1 car stolen in Soflo. I drive for work and often from West Palm to Key west. Gas mileage is important but I can't ride all that way and feel beat up when I get there. That's why the G Lux not the T.

This G isn't fancy but has a nice ride, looks nice and doesn't look like a 11 year old body design. This one was driven by a women and gently cared for, there is still 1500 miles until the next oil change and there is only one tiny tiny door ding in the whole car and the paint is very good. For $3300 I got a solid deal and I think a solid car that fits my needs and No car payments.

There are a few P11's on Craigslist, mostly either overpriced or beaters. There is a really pretty one I saw in person. This one. 2001 Infiniti G20 Touring Package Silver 120891 miles

Burned a 1/4 tank on a test drive tonight and it's a solid city car like the 3 series BMW. The short time I had it on the freeway I'm not convinced it's sweet spot is over 65 but does ride on rails. Turning radius is still baffling me, seems it's not it's strong suit.

I prefer the Recaro styled seats of the BMW 5 to the seats in the g20 but I'll get over it. It made it out there and back one time in a row, so far, I'm pleased.

It's really nice, like it more, the more I drive it. The dog and I went for a sunrise cruise to Biscayne bay with the sunroof open and it was a nice start to our day.

It's just a really high quality car. I have the rubber floor mats and I like them better than carpet. The ones I have are very thick and don't look cheap. Nothing about that car looks cheap if you look close.

One thing I don't like is no ashtray. I think I have about every conceivable option that could come on the g20 Lux except that one, and I smoke.

I use the cup holder in the armrest and it works fine. The Bmw e39 has worse cup holders than this g20, so this was an CH upgrade!

BOSE stands for Buy Other Sound Equipment and now I hear why. I'm ordering these tweeters today while I contemplate putting in my system. $15 Bose sound upgrade. P11 - G20.net - Forums

I had projectors and 5000k hids in both my headlights and fogs on my 528i. I saw some guys putting hids without projectors in the g20's and if I do that, I'll be the buying the raptor 55w 5000k high/low kit from ddmtuning.com.

Car needs to be cleaned, front seat leather for sure, needs a tint and a wax job, headlight lenses polished and just drive it until the wheels fall off with a few minor upgrades.

This car will never have anything to do with low profile tires and coilovers. My plan is to build an ultra nice stock cruiser with the lowest level of effort and expense.

The car is Aspen White Pearl, with light tan leather. Great looking Florida car. Pics later.

understatement of the year. Turning radius is atrocious in a g20. Probably the only thing I would ever change.

Definately source an ashtray surround. It's awesome. It is removable and the ashtray lights up.

Also if your looking for an upgrade to the bose system you can put in a 2005 pathfinder unit. I think it sounds better plus has RDS, in dash 6 disc, and plays mp3 cd's. It's plug n' play wiring but you will have to modify your brackets so it fits flush or buy my custom stainless brackets.

PS if your wondering why that hole is in the hvac, it's because there is a super secret button under that plastic. When you push it the hvac display will tell you the outside temperature.
