wow, I never noticed how weak those are

good job! I don't even have a cup holder there. I got the super cool and rare ashtray kit . Well rare for the states and common everywhere else in the world . I plan on adding a VW in dash cupholder eventually. That cupholder by the shifter in it's stock form is totally useless except to hold change maybe.

Odd I would think American's smoke more then other cultures, maybe I just work with a ton of smokers .

I wish I could have cup holders by the hand brake, but Nissan USA figured Americans don't really need cup holders, they never eat and drive .

I would do radio din cup holders, but I have gauges to fill that space.

I also like the front cup holder a lot more then the one in the arm rest, I find the armrest one useless.

I never actually use that cup holder when i bought my car i got it with one in the armrest il even put a larger drink in the rear of it and still close the armrest but the straws usually take the punishment .

Annoying to drive and constantly reach to the armrest and raise it get a drink. And yes the straws always die

Anyway, that is why drinks come with lids/screw on caps these days. (This is where Vadim says, "Oh but I like to drink soda because the fizzies tickle me lips" or "But the cup holder is meant for a 12 ounce CAN of soda") They make soda toppers for cans that make a tight seal. More importantly, soda is a terrible drink at least that is what I think about it. I rarely drink the stuff and usually dislike it each time I "try" it.

I get more frustrated trying to buy a coffee from some place and the cups are always a different size and it is a fight getting the drink in and out of the B14 holder when it is larger or just has a large top in a 12 ounce cup.

Meh, stupid cup holders.
