Found this to be fairly interesting, kind of explains why I didn't feel a difference.

Waaw now i know why im whining about how soft my suspenion is ,its soo damn soft it scares me on corner entrances,im def looking for some new springs and shocks soon but my SC300 is top priority so my P11 will have to chill on the granny springs for now ,But thats some great info!!!

Companies like KYB and Tokico make a lot of the OEM struts for Japanese cars. Doesn't mean that they're the same as the aftermarket ones they sell (also doesn't mean they're different either).

Nissan knows exactly what there doing and why they chose different brands of dampers.
