Getting Ready for a Tune Up
I'm getting ready for a tune up for my wife's 2000 G20.

I really need a new Fuel Filter but there are the other items that should be replaced while I'm at it.

Spark Plugs
Spark Plug Wires
Rotor Header
Rotor Cap
A/T Tranny Flush

Now I'm used to buying stuff from CourtesyParts.com, but they only sell Nissan parts, and when I looked at parts for B15 SR20's it looks like there are different versions of the RR.

Where do you guys get your tuneup parts from?

G Spec Performance Infact, I just bought everything for a complete tune-up from them today. All OEM goodness and cheaper than Courtesy.

Might as well just grab a 300zx fuel filter. OEM wires and NGK plugs are a must. Depending on her driving habits I'd use a 5 or 6 plug. Rotor and cap cant hurt as long as they are OEM. Tranny flush is a good idea. Make sure the air filter is clean, maybe spray the maf with the maf cleaner brakleen stuff. Then give the car a good eye over and she is good for quite a while.

Ditto on the 300zx fuel filter. I think that is the default filter Greg sends you when you tell him you need one.

Well here is the thing, the car only has 50k miles on it, 5 of which we put on. But the car stood for a year at a auction or dealer or insurance yard hehe.

It had platinum plugs from the manufacturer! We used to get 24mpg in city driving in the summer, it has dropped to 16-17 now days. I'm wondering if it was just Platinum plugs alone.

So far I replaced the O2 sensor with a 4 wire Bosch, grounded to the ECU ground. I think that helped a bit, will help more when I do the SSAC header on it haha.

I was reading about the fuel filter not doing too good when it stood for a while. So that's what is bringing me to this tune up.

I was about to buy another 300zx filter, but when I looked up part numbers between the G20 and SE-L it was different so I figured the Z32 might not fit hehe.

Plugs, I'm running OEM BKR6E plugs from G-Spec.
Air Filter is replaced with K&N Drop in filter
I'm running Mobile One Synthetic 5w-30 oil in the car.

I'm thinking about installing my spare AEM CAI on it, but I heard that P11's have too sensitive of MAF's. I am worried that my K&N drop in filter did some of the damage alone haha.

Well after driving 70 miles I noticed a great improvement in gas mileage and a descent SOTP improvement.

My gas mileage was 15-17mpg mixed driving. Today it was 19 MPG strictly city and with lots of flooring

Next is the rest of the tune up

Nice! I just got my tune-up stuff from Greg and I could not believe how big that fuel filter is! I guess I just assumed it was smaller. LOL
