P10 Brake upgrade--- U14 front brakes
Well on wednesday i went to a local junkyard down here that had a 00-01 altima... since it was 4x114.3 i decided to compare the front rotors to p10 an by just sight there alot bigger.. so i decided to buy the calipe, bracket, and rotors of my choice off other u14 they had there.. the rotors i got them at the junkyard cause i had 3 cars to choose from an i can tell whose closest to new..

im gettin them re-surfaced tomorrow for 20$ at local machine shop
the rotors, calipers, brakets cost 65.99$ at the yard.
ill be gettin the pads from local advance auto parts

before puttin them on im gonna have a paint scheme for them

for this upgrade an probably p11 upgrade the dust sheild has to come off. like completely. im gonna chop it off and thats it

pics will be up soon step by step minus the bleeding of the brakes.. dont post anyhting here till i post pics.

Use partsamerica.com to compare them. They list all the cars it fits. This is a great resource to use when trying to find parts from different cars.

Here is the 00 Altima selected, and this is what the rotors is listed as fitting.

just resurfaced the plates which im glad to say machine shop says they got 80% of life... bought the pads yesterday also cleaned, primered the caliper and bracket minus the bushing an Pin.. bought the grease for it as well.. over all svaed a few bucks an have a completely new brake system on the front.. very cool.

note*
the system for U14 has 2 pins for the caliper to connect to the bracket.at the end of the pins theres a solid one which should be the top one an the bottom one has a rubber end. be very cautious in selection some have the rubber worn down due to no grease in system.
just make sure both pins are intact. youll know what i mean when you see it.

All you need to do this upgrade is the caliper brackets off of a U13. The stock P10 caliper bolts right up to the bracket, giving you 11" rotors and pads. Additionally, the P11/U14/U13/P10 all have the same 57mm caliper piston, so there is NO REASON to change the calipers if the brackets bolt up.

Also, a shameless plug: I have some P11 EBC front pads for sale over on G20.net
