Muffler and/or Resonator size on your P10
There seems to be a lot of members who want an exhaust but wish for it to be deep sounding or just quiet in general. To achieve this, most members opt to stuff the biggest resonator and/or muffler combination.

I started this thread to compile size combinations. This should help those who seek to achieve a certain sound.

Sound/Video clips welcome to accompany your set up!

IE (not my set up - just an example ):
2.5" vrs aluminum piping
22x4" magnaflow resonator
5x11x22" magnaflow muffler

post away!

I'm going to try to fit 2 of the 5" round magnaflow 3" in/out resonators in the tunnel just like what Ameen did with his 6" ones, but hopefully with a better fitment. Check out my build log in the turbo section if you are interested in the part number on this.

meh.. we don't got no stinking muffler..

then again, we don't have a cat either on the p10... lol

What we have is a 2.5" SSAC, then custom after that... basicly its a cherry bomb right where the cat used to be.. then where the muffler used to be is another cherry bomb..

no it isn't as quiet as stock but it sure as heck doesn't sound like a ricer BTO buzz bomb either

No sound or video for me. However, this car uses all OEM to the operational cat. conv. from there the custom 2.5" tubing was run to the OEM muffler. An increaser behind cat & reducer with flange from OEM muffler cut off just on tubing side to allow mating it with OEM clamps to OEM muffler.

It def sounds deeper, but not a loud deep. It has a tone to it, & bruum on first startup like a a old BM 318, not sure it if adds to the BHP? But it is def still quiet and running 2.50" mandrel tubing.

2.5 str8 back to fujitsubo legalis r muffler
no cat, no resonator

its sounds like an eclipse gt v6 ..

deep low tone. sounds totally different when flooring it though.. gets like a little bit louder but not that much. its not bad for a car without a cat str8 from headers to exhaust.
