I noticed that there are no torque specs for the allen bolts that hold the thrust bearing. Also I didn't see any torque specs for the compressor blade nut. Are you just trying to realign the shaft, nut, and compressor blade and not worrying about a torque spec?

Started to take apart my U12 Turbo. I just wanted to see if any of you guys had a problem with the bolt that is right next to the oil drain hole. How did you guys manage to get this bolt loose? Did you use some kind of special wrench? I tried using an open end wrench but the hex head started to deform so I stopped before I made the top of the bolt useless.

You're probably going to have to resort to vise-grips for that one.

I am trying to rebuild a GTI-R T28, but I'm not too sure about which rebuild kit will be the correct one for my application. I am looking at the 'T2, T25, and T28 Dynamic Seal Complete Rebuild Kit' from G-Pop Shop. Did anyone use this kit on a GTI-R T28 before? The link below is form G-Pop Shop's site.

Great how-to!

I found this thread while searching google for instructions how to rebuild the T28 from my Aussie S14a 200SX. It has an exhaust leak like the turbo in this post, however no where near as bad.

Seeing as the rest of the turbo is still in good working order I was hoping that I could just replace the exhaust seal without having to do a full rebuild. I've looked at the pictures and I'm not sure which part actually seals the turbine side. I've found there's plenty of T28 rebuild kits on ebay AU but I want to make sure I get one that has the part(s) I need. Can someone help me identify exactly what I need? Thanks in advance.
