Funny picture for you all while I'm waiting on photobucket to finish uploading:

"Caution! Operates at high speeds. Keep fingers and other objects away from openings to avoid injury. Not intended for aircraft use."

Hadn't seen this disclaimer on a turbine before, thought I'd share.

How to has been finished

Note, There are a few things that I need to change throughout the how to thread, so once that's done I'm going to request that all of the non-howto thread items be removed for the sake of cleanliness

awesome write up.

i did this with a turbonetics turbo and a similar gpopshop rebuild kit a couple years ago. the rebuild seems to be holding up well to this day on a daily driven car. their stuff is good and if you have questions they have great customer service.

when i did it i was actually surprised at how simple it was...though it was tedious working with little picks and a shaved down set of snap ring pliers. i thought it was fun once all was said and done.

Thanks That's one thing I failed to do, is take pictures of the tools needed. Thanks for reminding me, I'll get that done soon.

Nice write-up. If I didn't have under 3k on my bnib OEM GTiR I'd rip it out and rebuild it right now.

anyone had any issues with putting the CHRA onto the tubine housing. mine interferes with the turbine wheel. i cant figure out why its fine until you tighten the bolts down. btw the compressor side will install no problem. any help would be great.

PM replied. Hopefully you received/used the correct bushings/bearings (the brass bushings that go in the CHRA). If they're too long, the shaft will compress against them causing binding.

The only other thing I can think of is that you put the CHRA guts back together wrong? The exducer shouldn't be protruding as much as it sounds like you have it.
