Coating the pistions will give less friction on the cylinder walls. It is not a bad idea to do it will only help.
Stock is 86mm as said earlier and don't worry about sleeving your block with the amount of power you want to have stock sleeves will hold, just look at what Manny did with his.

Well this is going to be a very slow build, one step at a time basically. I probably will sleeve the block and go with the 87mm, I really want to know more about the VE head, what are the benefits of it, higher revs? bigger ports? Have no clue about the VE. Motor is planned for 500-550hp, but I'd like to build it for more than that to be safe, actually build it for a lot more power because I know i'll want that much more out of it (not that i'd ever get used to that much power). haha.
Anyways I'll be buying parts about $500 at a time most likely, and doing work in the same way (sleeves, head, etc.) I'll keep updates on here. I need to tear the other block apart and see exactly what i'm getting myself into. Hopefully it's not too bad. Build will start soon as this damn dui is paid for
