Turbo compressor with 4" inlet
I'm wondering whats your setup you people with 4" inlets run, do you use a reducer then a 3" pipe?, you managed to get a 4" pipe?, battery location? I'm looking for ideas, cause i dont know what to do with that gigantic 4" inlet Lol.

Pics would be great

Stick the battery in the trunk already How does your turbo mount up in the motor? Maybe just stick a filter on it and go blow through if it is that bad. But I think I have seen pics 4in or larger in FWD engine bays before

Here is what to do.

Get some 4in 90 degree bends so you can make an intake. Get one 4 in silicone hose and one 4 to 3 inch silicone hose. Run a Z32 MAF or get a Ford lightning MAF which is 4 inch which means you would have to get 2 4in silicone hoses.

Get the ODYSSEY battery PC680MJ .

And mount the battey in the front.

With a front wheel drive you want to keep all the weight up front for drag racing.

Good point!

You could run open turbo with a mesh screen protecting the turbine inlet from FOD. That's what I have to do, until I can get a custom dogbone (which will hopefully give me needed clearance.)

I still have a 4" pipe I made for my recirc system. It works great. I used it but I found that it was hard to mount the lightning maf far enough away from the turbo. It was experiencing some turbulance problems.

All you need is a 90 degree up from the turbo and a 90 degree to head back straight by the light and thats it

I only found this 4" intake on Ebay, but I'm afraid this one might need the battery on the trunk. Miko, I currently have a Z32 MAF, is there a problem in flow by using it with a 4 to 3" silicon reducer?, I want to keep my draw thru MAF setup.

Thanks..!

Easier said than done, depending on the turbo's position with the manifold. I have about 1"~1.5" from the inlet to the dogbone mount. That's not enough room to put a 90 degree bend right off of the compressor inlet.

Ah yeah i forgot to mention, the turbo is going to be top mounted.
