Chances are it has nothing to do with any of that... chances are you need to use a larger o-ring in the dipstick you are using. This is the same thing that happened to Dave (swiss) when we in GA.

For what its worth, a leakdown test was done, compression test as well, and it was all fine. Everyone thought it was boost leaking past the rings. New larger grommet and bamma. There seems to be a difference in some of the grommets used b/n avenir, and the DE for some reason.

The PCV valve works under vacuum. Under boost its closed, n/a on high throttle its mostly closed as well. It's supposed to work when the throttle plate closes. I think the side you guys are talking about is the AIV side and if it placing a breather doesn't solve your problem, try using another dipstick or finding a rubber o-ring for it.

yeah if you have a weak dipstick it will pop out, under boost you will usually get some blowby usually more than what the pcv can handle, for the most part it will come out the breather located on the r/s of the valve cover. I had a worn dipstick as well and it did the same thing, changed it out with a spare that snapped in nice and tight and i had no problems afterwards, my compression was good and leakdown good. That motor was healthy. This happens on boosted motors and nothing you can really do about it.

engine blowby is metered. At some point the air that becomes blow by was metered before entering the engine. It is not, however, metered again set up the oem way.

Sorry to bring this old thread back to live but this is exactly what is happening to me guys.

My oildipstick is so loose that I am 100% sure that if you were able to turn it 180° it would just fall out by itself

Where can I get a new one (W10 engine block)?

I really need to buy this part new so it fits thigh and the seal holds in place.

If anyone has a new one willing to sell it, send me a PM

Regards

Luis

Make sure you are not running your VC hoses to your intake after the turbo. This will cause too much pressure. You can only recirculate those blowby gasses if you run a pull-thru maf setup, for several reasons. If you run blow-thru, I recommend a PCV delete.
