Oil return on the DET block? Thread size and pitch? Anyone know? Help
Anyone know the thread size of the oil return on the block? Im hoping i can just unscrew it and screw in a female to male fitting and run a braided line to it so it wont crimp on the bend like my rubber line is doing slightly on my setup now. It flows and the turbo doesnt smoke or anything at all. But i want it flowing to its full potential. Anyone know the size?

I thought I had the information but realized I didn't Check sylvia, fresh alloy, and 240sx forums as I think they use the same fitting there. Or you could try and take it too lowes and use their thread match table. It might be too big though.

Makes sense why everyone recommends 1/2" NPT when tapping an non-turbo block. =]

Post up when you come up with a solution for running a stainless braided line. I've been to lazy to do it myself, but I like the idea of minimizing possible kinking of the return line. Right now, I have a stupid long/funky return line due to the positioning of the turbo compressor housing sitting damn near on top of the return fitting on the block.

For anyone who searches on this. The SR20DET block is indeed a 1/2npt thread for sure. I just got a 1/2npt to -10an adaptor and steel braided lines and ran them to my oil drain on the turbo. Dont really have any part numbers since I had the fittings laying around... That and different turbos will need different stuff.

Im glad I finally got rid of my bull**** kinked line though!
