What pipe size are you using? Pipe that is smaller than the MAFs 3in might give you issues. Do you have any pics of your engine bay? Try to fix all the leaks you can, they will make your car not run well. Did you get the hole on the inside of the maf(the one that goes to the box)?

I have no idea why people go to blow threw. The MAFs are not designed to be presurized.

You run an 11 second with a GTIR turbo which is great. You would figure a larger turbo and some low 11s would be just fine for an upgrade.

The ECU was not programmed for the way you want to change the car to.

I don't know why he went blow thru, but I can say with certainty that some of us don't have the option to go draw thru due to the location of the turbo, and the turbo's inlet size. I have yet to find someone/pictures that help me determine how I'm going to run the pre-turbo intake pipe, due to the closeness of the turbine to the dogbone and block.

You can do all of that without doing all of that crap.

Get a nice blow of valve. Put the system back how you had it and vent the BOV right behind tha MAF.

Make the intake pipe alittle longer than you have it in your pic and put it right behind the headlight. That means you will have to get another 45% pipe to get it there.
