Thread: this snail fit?

i can get this turbo for like free. and it is a garret any ideas if its worth it?




this is off of a 96 ish saab 2.3 turbo...it faces the right way and everything to work on a sr20 ithink

how free is "like free"?

Looks like a TD04 or T25 are the only two turbines listed for a 2.3L Saab.

i always thought the saab used a t3 turbine flange ? atleast i know the older ones do

i know i looked up the junkyard turbo list too...but im aslmost positive it said garret,which i thought was wierd and it is out of a 96-99 saab 2.3 or 2.0. the pics is random but hasthe same tb,motor mounts,and intake piping as the one i saw

to be honest,most of everything i think i neede like oil and coolant line were there too. even an intercooler,and coupling but no bov

It's most likely a Garrett turbo. I Wiki'd Saab turbos and it looks like the 9000 and the 9-3 come with the TD04 or T25 by garrett.

ok sweet.....so would any of theese fit ona bb,aviner,or gti-r manifold ?without much modifying?

ok i did some reasearch and its a tdo4 turbo.....

but between the saab 9000cse and the 9000aero...the cse has a low output turbo and the aero has a high output turbo(14.5lbs of boost)
