Ashton I belive the S15 turbo is about the same as a GT28rs. It just flows a weeee little bit less. This 18g flows like a GT2871r and spools like one also! Man I wish I had a Video camera...

yeah man we definetly will have to put some vids up at 20psi or so and see what happens, my injectors should be here next week and i might have some new tires by then also.

I had asked you in your other thread where you got your 225/45/r14 bfg's from and what did you pay for them, im looking at getting a set of 2 for the fronts at least, it will have a nice mean look to it, haha That way i have somewhat traction during a 20psi run, haha if not i will probably spin these almost worn 195's till probably 110mph or so, maybe more, already spin them till 90.

All im trying to say is an td05SH18g is the same wheel spec wize as a t518z. Until someone can prove that the wheels have been backcut or modified by ihi or mitisubishi or greddy or whoever this is all i can add.

All they have done with the housings on the t518z is for packaging and ease of install reasons like a hks gt-rs.

As far as i know all these turbos are made by mhi? Correct? Even the ones on ebay claim to be made by mhi.

The only reason i brought any of this up is id like to know the real differences between them (the t518z because its pretty damn similar with a marked price difference).... so far no one car prove that they are different so if i see a tdo5sh 18g made by mhi im going to buy it for my other gtir. Then we shall have a genuine back to back comparison of these two turbos. I may even buy a gen t518z from japan if i see one cheap enough on yahoo.

YOu underlined SH. Im not sure there is a TD05SH after trying to search for one. My Turbo is a TD05H-18g

I dont know what the story is there. Does your turbo actualy have td05h 18g printed on it? I would expect that to mean the compressor is different to a td05sh 18g but i dont know.

Maybe yours is the same as a t517z??? I dont know.

I dont know what im looking at there. On greddys own site it only has tdo5sh 18g's with different size turbine housings....

So if thats what that is... its most likely exactly the same centre section as a t518z but with different housings?

Look at the top of the name plate closely if you have a good monitor and good eyes. It say TD05-18g.

o.k fair enough.... have you looked on greddys own site though? They must of just left s off the tag.... Stuffed if i know.

I guess if you had the housings off and measured the wheels thats the only way to know exactly whats on it. Or if someone knows what the serial numbers mean.
