i recomend the mechancal gauges 100% yes it can leak IF its not hooked up correctly however with mechanical you are having a direct pressure to the gauge, instead of the pressure sending gauge, the electric can have bad ground im proper readings ect its really not worth the hassle and the electric sending units can go bad too

Hmm bad ground??? where is your ground hooked up? I had someone else hook these up, so I don't know where the ground is.

Well, there should be a T in the oil line somewhere connecting from the oil sending unit and then going to the turbo. It would be easier to find it if you follow the oil line from the top of the turbo to the T. There should be an oil pressure sending unit with two black knobs a positive and a ground. One goes to a chassis ground the other to a power source (the positive on the battery). Then on the back of the gauge there are 3 posts with nuts, you only use two one is a ground that you ground and the other is a switched 12v that turns on when you turn your car on (so that gauge is only on when you have the power switched on). Thats about it, if you have the instructions it is in there and I think you can also find it on the glow shift website.

Sorry, but I'm going to go with electrical for water and oil related gauges.. fuck having oil and water spraying in the cabin IF in fact anything comes loose near the gauge.

its understandable, but i just feel the electric gauges can become unpredictable and inaccurate. not always but the they do have their drawbacks

Update!
Coming from the mall I got up on it and my dash lights came on (brake/battery/airbag) then came off. I waited a couple hours and went out to start the car and they came on again and stayed on. Altenator?? or have I loosened a belt?? Keep in mind that this is only the second day since I been boosting so I need all possible options. Thanks again fellas!!!

Nope, I just let it run for about 10 minutes and then shut it off. I'm scared to drive now cause I don't wanna get stranded anywhere.

Think it's the Alty, I already PM'ed Miko and he has one. I'm thinking a bolt came loose, however it is the stock Alty, maybe the boost wore it out.....
