ok lets work out how much happier yank dyno's are?
ok i read through your sets up's and i know your dyno's are much higher reading than ours. now i just want to work out just how much happier they are.

here in aus on a typical 240sx:

550cc injectors are considered ok if going for 230rwkw's. any more than that and start thinking about upgrading. now at 250rwkw's you will be pushing them to there limit but has been done a few times. the highest i have ever seen 555cc's go is 261rwkw's and that was at 100% duty cycle (yes that right 100%, the idiot took them that high)

now just another thing to throw into the mix for comparison is the z32 afm, down here it is good for 300-350rwkw's max it will normally max out somewhere in that range

ok will put up some turbo's as well

gt2871r with cams and so forth at around 18psi 250rwkw's and you are doing well

gt3071r 300rwkw's and you are doing well in t3 flange

so how does that compare to over there. the reason i ask is when i see a set up and look at a u.s. dyno its hard to gauge just how good it is

just convert KW to HP. The dynos aren't higher reading, they are using different units of measurement.

nah they are as 250rwkw's is equal to 335whp

?

So what's the problem? Just convert hp to kw like you said in this quoted post..

Ok, lets convert the numbers so you guys get the point of his thread:

here in aus on a typical 240sx:

550cc injectors are considered ok if going for 308whp. any more than that and start thinking about upgrading. now at 335whp you will be pushing them to there limit but has been done a few times. the highest i have ever seen 555cc's go is 350whp and that was at 100% duty cycle (yes that right 100%, the idiot took them that high)

now just another thing to throw into the mix for comparison is the z32 afm, down here it is good for 400-470whp max it will normally max out somewhere in that range

ok will put up some turbo's as well

gt2871r with cams and so forth at around 18psi 335whp and you are doing well

gt3071r 400whp and you are doing well in t3 flange

550CC injectors are good for more then 335 HP, especially if you run them at 4 bar. gt2871r with cams might be a bit higher then 335 whp at 18 psi.
Are you sure you don't either have your conversion wrong or your numbers in the first place?
555 cc = 373 WHP * Yellow
---------------------------------------------555 cc @ 4 bar = 423 WHP
Different styles of dynos also read higher or lower then others too, and then there is also correction factors to take into account humidity, Temp, and elevation.

Sounds like air, fuel, internal combustion and power measurement all work the same over in Australia. Thanks for pointing this out for us.

thank you bagato, you see what i am trying to accomplish here

so here are the converted figures, also these figures will be on 98 octane pump fuel

98 "octane" fuel is not the same as 98 octane fuel here in the states, either. Your part of the world uses a different formula to obtain the rating for petrol.

As previously mentioned, 550cc injectors are rated for much more than 300whp as you're stating. It all depends on many other variables, as well as the dyno used.

"Happier Yank Dyno's" is only a small bit of the equation. Take into consideration climatic factors, fuel type used, etc.

Hell, even the SOFLA boys report better numbers than many across the US, but look at their climate.

I'm at 4K feet above sea level. WORLD of difference for me compared to those at sea level with different climates.
