Yo Jamie, once my swap is done, I'll have those S4's for sale if you want 'em? Maybe we can trade for some SR16VE cams...?

Humility goes a long way in the pursuit of gaining knowledge.

^I would have to agree with this. I mean the guy has posted tons of info and he even has a VID of how a stock DE can be pushed harder to squeeze out more power. I still want to see what that stocke DE tuned can do against a stock VE in the same car at the same weight.

Keep doing what you do Ben. I'm sure I'll be sending you more PM's in the future.

boostin50, read what you put in bold.

based:- Verb

Simple past tense and past participle of base, being derived from

He started with a base map, what's wrong with that? Do you start all your tunes from scratch? No. Nobody does.

Come on man, quit making Minnesotans look like a*sholes.. I am from there.

And quit turning this thread into a flame war. If you have something helpful or at least intelligent to say then say so. You are just bashing people's work that you have no idea about.

Coheed - Removing that AC alone might help to reduce your under hood air temps because the lack of condenser will increase air flow. On a side note, how did you burst all those hoses? haha

If your throwing codes you need to have that taken care of before you dyno the car, or at least evaluate what affect the codes are having. In Nissan DataScan reset the codes, then recheck. If any immediately pop up fix them. If for example your code for water temp sensor is still there dyno'ing the car will yield low numbers, the ecu is going change quite a bit if it thinks the water temp sensor isn't working.

I realize ignition timing is the hard part. I've already conceded that the dyno is the easiest place to tune it. That being said, you can get really close tuning on the street using EGTs as the main parameter. As Naghebe pointed out, the timing map was based on a previous person's ignition map, which Dan and I put a lot of our own time into. Here's the kicker: the base ignition timing map was tuned from scratch on the street and only the street. It had never even seen a dyno until Dan and I put our version of it on a dyno. It hasn't needed any tweaking after seeing the dyno either. Dynos are super, and great, and nice and make tuning ridiculously easy and fast. They're also hard to come by and can be substituted with street tuning if you have the time and knowledge.

I am popping up codes p0325, p1336,? I know that one of them is a knock sensor circuit malfunction. I have no idea why this code is coming on. There is no knock, but I did rewire the knock sensor. Could this be why it has a circuit malf? I could have a bad wire connection or something. The codes come on after a while, like 3 drive cycles and the light will pop on. I am getting a Crank sensor circuit/misfire, knock sensor circuit malf, and rear o2 sensor malf. The rear o2 is not hooked up, but the other codes worry me.

Misfire? knock? wtf?
