yeah i thought this would be the case tbh....well all besides better top end. The low duration high lift combo the vet's offer is great for low down response and torque. A well set up bigger duration cam will be better for top end if it wasnt for the overlap issue. i imagine the ramp rate of the vet's are very aggressive.
i also think you should play around with switching earlier, from memory you are switching at 6k? imo this is far to high for you cam selection. i would obviously have a play but the 4200-5200 range would be better suited imo. when do they switch stock?
if i have the time and $$ might set up a nice custom made set, i already have a fair idea of what i want, its just a matter of testing them on the dyno
