I always preload the clutch when staging. If i drop the clutch i would bog off the line.I'm running a Fidanza 8.5lb flywheel on that setup.
This setup made 346whp at 14psi.I never got to dyno it at 30psi.Would have been nice tho.

what do you estimate it would have made at 30?

i imagine you were more than likly push at least 50 over the reco limits right?

how much torque? thats what counts here. I bet you were up in the 400++lb/ft

thats what i was going to say my stage 4 clutch is good for 170% over stock. that is a step farther but i think the clutch should have been able to take it. like i said i cant believe the disc didnt go

I would think about 450whp or so.Those S4's really help up top to.
I was trying to see how much boost the stock pistons & rods could handle.
I was also trying to push the limits of the VE metal headgasket(thanks greg v)too. Both held up like a champ.C16 race gas ftw.

well the horsepower wouldnt do it, the torque would obviously, but i think you were making over the rec ammount of torque and that was a result of it

If it was on of them ebay XTD/XTR/F1 clutches , then wouldn't the disc explode before the PP would?

Weird how if one is pushing 30 PSI , theres a street/full face disc?

I would of gone with an unsprung 4 puck or twin plate setup....

It was not an ebay item. The setup might have been making more power than the clutch could handle.
