Believe it or not, stock idle A/F ratio is anywhere between 12.2:1 and 12.8:1. And it really does take this kind of rich mixture to get these engines to idle properly. So take that into consideration.

I've never had issues with idle at 14.7 on any platform

So now come to think of it, I should be good. Lol

I need to fab the lower bracket for the oil cooler. Decide if i want to finish the lathe work on the bump steer kit. Bleed the clutch slave. Fill the trans. Open air calibrate the lambda.
And in sure there's some other stuff i need to do.

Then Perhaps a long awaited test drive

Don't run the engine without filling the trans, that can cause a whole other can of worms

I did find my car supported on the nistune site. I think all said and done its really not that expensive. I don't want to get a pricey standalone then have to find a dyno, pay for tuning, pay for this, pay for that..... I'll see what jwt says tomorrow and go from there. If i can get the ecu sorted, i can get real 550s and be right back to where i thought i was and wanted to be. Lol

Car is running (not driving yet), so basically just idling on jack stands with the fuel lowered via safc. It idles pretty good tbh. I needed to get it idling so i could check some more boxes off the list.

I did the hydro clutch swap. I've been driving myself crazy trying to bleed it using the d22 as a reference. Turns out the hydro in a b14 with custom short lines is just really really easy. I have a 6 puck sprung disc in it with the cooresponding pp. On the cable it was super hard to push and made an awful creaking noise. I was like there's no way this is working this easy. Had my son look at the hubs and sure as shit, engaging and disengaging with almost no effort. I'm sure under load will be a little different.

I've used nistune for years, one of my cars still has it but I'm about to upgrade it to nismotronic since I put haltech in my turbo car lol. If you go that direction I could def help you get the car going in the right direction and you wouldn't have to keep sending the ECU back to jwt for small changes

And yeah it's crazy how much softer hydro is compared to cable lol
