installed said friction plate




annnd yeah.. so after the welds broke and the bolts back out i decided to weld a strip to the the of the bolts so they couldnt turn, well the weld spot rubbed the block an bent the flat piece an then broke 2/3 bolts..



luckily the threads arent messed up and the broken ones came right out.. im either going to have another one made of steel or im going to further modify this one.. i was thinkin of drillin all the way thru an running locking nuts on the end or something im not sure

It's been tig welded, but broke. I'm trying brazing with mine as it should provide a little better vibration resistance before failure.

Lol ya what zen said..

I think its the wheel hop.. Even tho its alot tamer then with the 5 speed it still does it but i just get off the throttle when it does..

Weird, we have had ours tigged for a while now and on big slicks, it hasnt cracked. Got to get rid of that wheel hop son.

Do you drive the car or does it just sit in the garage? Lol

Going to try making some traction bars aswell this year.

Im sure your slicks help with hop a bit, my car is street driven hard on street tires.
