Hitting the strip
So, what do you guys think the VE-T will run? Tomorrow I go to the track and I cannot wait. I am leaving at 7am and gonna try to get as many runs as possible! It is my first time at a real track, and I am rocking the all-seasons! I feel like the car is between 340-360whp right now. I know I can hook very well and not spin the tires in 2nd.

But what do you guys think I will run???

I think if your making 340+ whp and your hooking up in 2nd easy with all seasons then you must have miracle tires. I can't get traction with performance tires in my sub 300 whp turbo car. Anyways with 340 whp i'd think your be in the 12's if you can get traction.

High 12's to low 13's on street tires. It takes practice.

I am very interested in knowing what your MPH will be. I will tell you right now "IF" you making that power the times are going to be ****ty on street tires. At a minimum you should run some drag radials.

Keep us posted.

Big turbo, long gears, and oversized tires will all help with the traction problems. I barely break traction in 2nd depending on the surface. If I hit 2nd too hard I will bounce the limiter, but if I am gentle it hooks hard.

I would guess trapping around 115-118, if you get as much traction as you think you might. Otherwise maybe up to 120mph, with no traction low. This is all assuming the 340ish hp is close. Good luck I'm excited for you!
