I can't speak for anyone else, but I've never considered using one because the only affordable ones are the huge ones, which are way too big. The ones that are sized properly are way more expensive, and much more annoying to fit than the much more efficient (newer) Garrett options. For large engines, Holset makes some sense. For smaller engines, I don't see the appeal.
