Here's a picture of where the intake is located (may build a box to separate the filter from the heat of the motor)..

Also you can kind of see the hood scoop seal I've made that seals to the intercooler when the hood is closed.

Try pulsar GTIR tmic like mine. It's much bigger and cools the air better

its already proven that pulsar gtir TMIC was the most efficient in cooling, today i drove 220km distance in 34c degree for a duration of 2hours with 2 stop, car constantly travelling 150kph ++

no wrappings or whatsoever

I may go that route when I do a t28, but also the nx has much less air flow than a b14

DONT wrap this n that PLZ, solve the problem, change to TMIC, or better solution.

nobody wraps in my place, its 35-38 degree all year long here, my friend, this topic is really, redundant, sorry to say that.

I appreciate the input but I have a FMIC now .Theres no way in hell I am going to go to TMIC...that would be going the wrong direction,and make heatsoak worse.
I actually already have a larger FMIC I can upgrade to if necessary,I just like the sleeper look of the current smaller one.

Like I have mentioned,I started this thread to see what the target temps before and after the IC to see where I am at.NOT to change up my whole setup.
I dont have any overheating ,or cooling issues now.I am just wanting to see what others are getting for temps.I also want to see how much the intercooler does drop the temps,as well as see how my tresults compare to others....The way I see it any improvements to maximize heat management under the hood from what I already have is just gonna give me more life out of everything as well as efficiency overall.
My hood will be getting vented,but I gotta get a spare hood to play with.I want it to be low key,no big hood scoops for me.

Honestly Jay, my temps just before the throttle body are usually around ambient unless in stop n go traffic.. don't read too far into what some people say especially sr20det_b14 he's as bad as storm88000..
