Shitty Ebay core intercoolers have both horrendous internal flow and terrible pass through flow. I switched to a Greddy tube and fin core and dropped about 5 degrees when on track and was making 30 more WHP at the same time. The issue was probably was the intercooler core you were running (however, any blockage of airflow to the A/C and coolant heat exchangers will cause them to loose efficiency).

HOWEVER, egg's concern is heat soak and stuffing the intercooler in the engine bay which will ADD to engine bay heat. Not the correct move to combat heat soak in the engine bay.

wasnt from ebay. my FMIC are from s13. what egg says are EGGxactly my problem earlier. wrapping wont help. either you change diff sizing of FMIC so it doesnt block your radiator or go TMIC.

also do check your coolant n flush your radiator. many factors can be the culprit

ps: could u take a pic of ur engine bay ? it would help alot.

If you can explain to me how putting a heat exchanger IN the engine bay (which also does not allow enough space to radiate heat coming off the valve cover (which runs close to what the oil temps are) and which in itself, also radiates heat (which in turn adds to the heat mass)) actually helps engine bay heat soak.......I will give you $5

Heatsoak and Overheating are two entirely different scenarios which in most cases have a very limited window of relation. See below quote

I always cooled decent when cruising. its heatsoak sitting in traffic lowered down onto FL Lava pavement in the summer that gets scary.
You cant touch the dipstick,or anything else under the hood after driving it.

When you are standing still, your fans will be the primary airflow generator. Again, two entirely different scenarios . It's almost as if you are responding to an entirely separate thread hahahahahah

I am not planning on making any real major changes,so posting my setup wouldnt really be a benefit or I would have already.
Thanks for all your help, though and input. I do appreciate it.
