Oil pumps ???
I was wondering if anybody had the actual flow capabilitys of the varriouse Oil pumps avalible ??? Normal DE , Standard DET if rthere is such a thing or are they all differant , GTI-R , and VE ???/ Because I was going to use a DET one on my build ( U12) but I am thinking of buying the VBE one , but I am not sure it is a nesseity , Thanks any imput is helpful .....I know the Ve flows more but the how much more

VE is the best, it push about 100psi, the gtir is about 75psi and I forget the stocker but I think it's around 45psi. correct me if I'm wrong please!

45psi ? that is weird im seeing like 80psi by redline on my DE-t

Werd. My DET sees around 45~50 at idle, and around 80~85 under load.

My DE only saw like 25psi at idle and 50 under load.

interesting, my old DE had weak oil pressure, 50ish like you are saying, this motor i have now the gauge goes to 80 and it goes past that, cold is about 40ish

Once warmed up I see about 25ish at idle and 75-85 when pushing it. When she's cold she can go off the scale (over 100) if I get on her to hard.

This is on a GTi-R btw.

I never saw 100psi with my VE oil pump. ever. on 5w30. I saw only 20-25psi at idle if that when warm.

I see around 40-50psi with the GTIR pujmp on my VE-T at idle.

The GTiR and VE pumps are both high volume. Both work very well compared to the lesser pumps.

The VE has a better design than the GTiR, but good luck finding a VE pump!

Are they all interchangeable?

^more or less the cars they come out of use different oil pans and therefore have different pick up tubes and different spacers for the pulleys and or pulleys. If you have a de get a VE if you have a det or gti-r get a gti-r pump for easiest fitment.

There will be variance will oil pressures due to different oils, ambient temperatures, and sometimes what oil pressure gauges.

I have a ve on my det its definitely overkill. If I had it to do over I would just go with a de or det. The oil pressure at the turbo (difference with the stock oil restrictor) is really close to the oil pressure at the sending unit maybe 5-10psi . The extra pressure has been to much for two sets of seals on the turbo

Unless you are doing something that revs to the moon just stick with det or de pumps
