clutch suggestions and thoughts for a daily driven bone stock det
Hello dash.I drive a det in stop and go heavy and moderate traffic every day.roughly 80-100 miles a day within a 3 hour time span all together.I ran a 35k used jwt clutch/pp from the na sr and ran great.after roughly 1000 miles later, on 3rd gear,at 4k driving with spirit, she decided to slip.the car still pulled but not like it originally did like a 50 percent difference in power.I drove the car like that for an additional year and then one day on 3rd gear driving with spirit, input shaft milled and came to a stop. Switched to p11 tranny and ran a fx500 pp with a act 6 puck sprung disc.grabbed very nice.like wen I first swapped the motor.after the 500 mile break in mark,I decided to start to spiritually drive the car again.after the third day of spiritual drivin, on 3rd gear at about 4k, that brand new clutch slipped again.the feeling is the same as the first time.the best comparison I can give is pedaling on a bike with all your might and you move the gears to high for less pedal effort speed drops. Now I'm looking to get another clutch, but this time, I need a street disk that can handle the abuse of the daily drive,as well for spirited driving.I have been looking at clutchmasters fx500 or 300,jwt metal disc (If it's a puck,no thanks)pp combo, or act street disc set I'll get item number posted along with pictures as soon as I can. Either I'm having bad luck with clutches all of a sudden(drove the na with jwt clutch setup for a long time)or there's some methods of driving a sr20det that I am not aware of.any input and advice appreciated
