With utmost respect, we are all Nissan lovers. Sometimes due to many important agendas in life, we got disconnected to our beloved cars for months. Sometimes we even forgot how simple engine law works.

Hence we come to forum n bugs ppl for some answers, though it sometimes looked redundant but we just need some clues, but we should post something useful, not sarcasm. I'm sure in future someone needs my help too, I would post what I know. Even if I'm guessing the answer, the Guess would based n biased at least towards 60% of my experience.

I love diy, I can't diy everything, but at least I can rebuild a turbine, waste gate, blow off, TB, and a few stuffs.
I'm no engineer infact I'm a piano player by profession. But I love building things, A to Z. So let's post useful things.

Your BOV is staying open because the idle vacuum is opening the piston, this causes metered air to leak out, essentially being a vacuum boost leak. If you can't or don't want to recirculate the best thing to do is run the maf blow through and have the BOV before the MAF, that way your never leaking metered air or blowing off metered air.

Now you can be draw through and have a blow off valve not be recirculated by adjusting the BOV to stay shut at idle. The problem with this method is, the BOV will be slower to react to vacuum so might get some flutter this way. I'm gonna try this method soon just for kicks and giggles myself.

I see that it is rated in BHP. What kind of dyno was it? What boost level was it set for?

Much better driveability eh? I actually just did the opposite to test it out and get some data logs together.

One issue with your setup, that looks to be a 3/4" or 5/8" connector right? It might not have enough flow through it and may cause compressor surge and higher boost. Do keep an ear out for that.

Also that's kinda close to your maf, I woulda went further down.

I sure hope that part don't come loose on the inside of the coupler and get sucked into your turbo

Btw it's still draw through (you just added recirculate) Blow through would have compressed air going through the MAF
