Thread: Advice please!!!

ok so my car is now idling weird (jumping between 1200-1800rpm) and runs like crap below 3500rpms(stumbles when you give gas, pops,and jerks) now for the interesting part, i was adjusting the timing trying to fix this and change the plugs. took it for a test drive and still the same, i got on it @ 2nd gear and totally blew the t-clamp @ the turbo outlet, but after i did it all i heard was the noise and it ran better w/no turbo!!!! i runs very smooth without the turbo the only issue is that idles at 200 rpms any ways i dont know what else to do..maf is regrounded, timing set @ 17* new plugs, cleaned the iaac and iav...etc. the only thing i haven't done is pressure test for boost leaks but it doesnt make sense because it runs better w/out turbo!! thanks!

Sounds like you have a massive boost leak somewhere.

how are you coolant temps?

they are fine...i doesnt go past the middle and fans are turning on and off normally...

Definitely sounds like boost leak.

turned out to be a combo of boost leak and bad ecu...but its all good now

Glad you got it fixed! Sucks you had an ECU issue, but at least your car's running now.

yeah luckily i has the stock sr20de ecu laying around...otherwise i would have been f@$^%d!!
