Thread: port matching avenir manifold to VE

It kinda looks like the universe is gonna make me go VE-T in my nx instead of another DE+T(various reasons,mostly deals falling through and finding a clean lowport)
So...I if want to use my current setup on a VE,it would be ideal to port match the avenir mani to the VVL exhaust.

My question is this...do I just need to open it up to match the VE gasket or is there more involved?It has already ben modified for external wastegate so I didnt want to get a new manifold this time around...maybe in the future,but at this point I want to get the car back together using as much as I can of what I already have.

Is there anyone with experience with this that would be willing to port it for me?

Easy. Just grab a drill, and enlarge the four middle bolt holes.


Then just push upwards when installing the manifold. Piece of cake.

well thats too easy ..LOL How does opening the middle hole allow it to be pushed up if the side ones are not enlarged too?
I was thinking it needs more than that to flow properly,but thats why I asked. There shouldnt be any work needed to the outlets themselves.

Ya just drill the holes out a smidge.. if that's not enough a carbide burr and die grinder will take care of the rest just be careful

Make sure you set a VE/T gasket on it to make sure there is no lip.

I second this Y2KG20 ,Just make sure you have the VE Exh Gasket and use as a template to match the Stud Holes an Exhaust ports. May still need to push up the mani a bit when installing.
