Thread: ??Egr hole?

So i recently picked up a turbo b14 and while working on the car today I noticed something strange. The tube from the egr coming from the intake manifold goes down towards the turbo manifold but theres nothing connected to it. Theres just a hole. I stick a pencil in there and it went in pretty far. I'm not really sure how my car can be making boost pressure with a hole in the intake manifold unless the tube is plugged up where it starts. Im gonna take it off and block it off I guess lol.

I'm pretty sure the EGR goes to a lil black box thingy and then to the ITM.

If I have this straight, you see the unattached tube near the turbo/exhaust manifold. Right?

Whoever had the car before you likely installed a block off plate, between the manifold and the EGR tube. Without it being blocked off, your car wouldn't even start due to the massive vacuum leak.
