Thread: Turbo upgrade questions

Ok so I just purchased a top mount setup from a member on here. Its a Enjuku T3/T4 .63 AR 50 trim with a cast top mount manifold. I'm a little nervous about running the knockoff turbo but I'm going to give it a shot until I have the money saved up to buy a name brand T3 turbo. But my question is on the oil lines. I'm thinking about ordering this line from Kinugawa for the feed line, it says its for a garrett T3T4 journal bearing turbo but the flange looks the same so will this one work?

Also on the drain hose I'm thinking about just running a fitting on the turbo with a barbed end and using this high temp hose from ATP to run to the factory oil drain port on the block will I have any issues with that?

I aleady have STI injectors, ordered new gaskets, and a Tial wastegate

What should I do to block off the coolant feed/return lines on the block? I'm trying to have every part I need before I start and I want to order everything I need asap to get this installed, so any help will be appreciated.

I'd pay to have the turbo balanced at least if you are set on using it. The oil drain hose will work just fine. Where are you planning to get your oil feed from?

What does balancing usually cost?
