If he did a pressure test, and didn't hear anything, while it's holding 20psi, I don't think it's related to couplers. I think it's the wastegate not shutting completely. If it gets stuck, it may be causing the whistle.
i was waiting for that lol i belive its my wg or possibly my turbo....... took the wg vacuum off and plugged it and it still whistles.... Either stuck open or turbo dieing.....

Pull off the intake pipe and grab the compressor wheel with your fingers and check for shaft play. I bet that there is a lot of play. My old T25 started to sound like a slide whistle before it died. At that point there was some serious shaft play, the wheel was definitely scraping the housing.
i was taking the turbo out to change my wg and noticed that the bolts on the manifold were REALLY loose fixed it and now im getting the real feeling when its holding the right boost thanks for all that helped me

I was about to tell you to check the bolts, one of mine came loose and I had the whistling sound.
